Highlighted below are events that are family oriented and a good guide to follow. So, here we go! Kid-friendly Halloween events in Butte include: 

* Butte Public Library is hosting a family-friendly haunted house Friday, October 28th at 5 p.m. with a Halloween-themed movie planned at 6 p.m.! Costumes are encouraged. The Butte Public Library will also offer games, crafts, and snacks. (226 W. Broadway in Butte)

* The Springs at Butte will have trick or treating for the kids on Halloween, October 31st, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the front lobby. Come in your scariest or prettiest costume! The Springs will give out plenty of candy, and the residents will be excited to see your youngster's costumes. (300 Mount Highland Drive in Butte)

* The Butte Silver-Bow County Courthouse is ready for trick-or-treaters with plenty of free candy. They are also hosting a haunted house! Enter this century-old courthouse if you dare! Both events run from 1:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, October 31st. (155 W. Granite, Butte)

Butte Cars and Coffee will be at Car Quest for Trunk or Treat Night, Sunday, October 30th, from 6 to 8 p.m. Come in costume or DRESS YOUR CAR in COSTUME! Plan on bringing the family for a great time! Even a cool prize is up for grabs for the best car costume. Raffle tickets will also be available for Let Us Run and Stuff the Bus. (3639 Harrison Avenue)

* Spirit of Columbia Gardens Family Halloween Party. This event happens Sunday, October 30th, at the Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel in Butte's Stodden Park, from noon until 6 p.m. Costumes are highly encouraged. FREE rides and popcorn will be for the taking, so enjoy a safe, exciting gathering for the whole family! While you're there, take lots of pics! (Stodden Park off Utah Avenue in Butte)

* World Museum of Mining is the place for Butte's Treat Street, Monday, October 31st, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is a safe and fun-filled way to trick or treat in a ghost town. A reminder that no pets are allowed inside the museum. (155 Museum Way, Butte) 

* Haunted Underground at the World Museum of Mining is on October 27th and the 28th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in 15-minute intervals. Take a haunted tour of the Orphan Girl Mine and the Orphan Boy Mine! Profits from this event support Montana Tech campus clubs and the World Museum of Mining. Dress warm as the waiting line will form outside. You must be at least eight years of age or older to attend. Closed-toed shoes are enforced.
