Surrounded by family, coaches, teammates and classmates, Butte Central's Dougie Peoples officially signed his letter of intent to continue his basketball career at the College of Idaho, the defending NAIA National Champions.

Butte Central Catholic High School will hold a signing ceremony for basketball standout Dougie Peoples tomorrow at 2pm in the high school rotunda as the outgoing senior officially signs with the basketball program at the College of Idaho. Both Peoples and the Yotes have experienced extraordinary success as of late with the former being awarded the Gatorade Montana Player of the Year award and the latter winning the 2022-23 NAIA National Championship. The College of Idaho coaching staff will be on hand and the public is welcome to attend as well.

The Frontier Conference landed 9 players total on the AFCA Coaches’ All-America Team, 3 First Team, 1 Second Team, and 5 Honorable Mentions.

Coming into Saturday’s games there were 3 teams that still had a possible shot at a playoff game. College of Idaho, number 13 in the country sitting on top of the conference with 1 loss. Let’s look at the remaining 4 games for each program. A 2-loss team COULD still win the conference, it isn’t out of the equation yet, big games in Dillon, Helena, and Butte will tighten the focus after the 22nd.

It is a big weekend, and a huge game in Caldwell this Saturday for the Orediggers, as they make their way to Idaho to take on the Yotes. Both teams come into the game ranked nationally, the Yotes currently sit in the #9 spot, the Diggs come in as the #19 team in the nation.
