The Annual Uptown Hoops 3-on-3 basketball tournament is fast approaching. This year’s event will take place on June 17th and 18th on Granite Street in Historic Uptown Butte.

This event is an all-inclusive, competitive event encouraging fun, outdoor play, and striving to inspire the community of Butte and beyond.

The event has 19 different 3 on 3 brackets, along with 4 individual competitions. The brackets cover all ages, from 1st and 2nd grade for both Boys and Girls, up through a 7th and 8th grade, again with brackets for both boys and girls.

There are 2 different brackets for high school level. A High School (A) (more competitive) bracket for both boys and girls, as well as a High School (B) (looking to have more fun). There is also a High School Co-ed bracket.

Other divisions include an Adult A & B for both men and women, as well as an adult co-ed division. The Uptown Hoops tournament also includes an Adaptive division.

The individual competitions include a Slam dunk competition, as well as a mini dunkers battle, a lightning competition, and a 3-point contest.

The entry deadline for the tournament is May 31st.

The tournament is still looking to fill some teams in the following brackets:

1st and 2nd grade girls
7th and 8th grade girls
High School Girls
Adult women

This incredible event doesn’t happen without an army of volunteers. The event is still in need of:

Court Monitors
Individuals to help set up & tear down courts
Water/Gatorade station attendees
Merchandise tent attendees

If you can spare some time to be a volunteer for Uptown Hoops, you will receive an Uptown Hoops shirt, a special edition lanyard, as well as a meal and refreshments from Metals Sports Bar and Grill the day(s) you volunteer.

This is a one-of-a-kind event in Montana, played entirely on Granite Street in uptown Butte. Get your team registered and get ready to Hoop.
