For the first time since 1993, the Orediggers of Montana Tech have won the 2022-2023 George Bandy Memorial All-Sports Award.

The Montana Tech golf teams wrapped up a solid season with second place finishes on both the men’s and women’s sides after the final round at Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada Wednesday. Rocky Mountain College repeated as men’s and women’s conference champions and led after each round of the three-day tournament.

After the second day of the Frontier Conference Golf Tournament in Henderson, NV, some strong individual performances kept both the Montana Tech mens and womens golf teams in second place in team standings.

Somehow, we only have one game left in the Frontier Conference regular season, and equally surprising the final game will not affect conference standings no matter what happens.

Back to the broken record for a moment, the Men’s Frontier Conference is incredibly competitive. It was yet another night of every home team hanging the ‘W’.

The ‘Wild Frontier’ certainly lived up to its billing last night. On the women’s side, the top 3 teams ran away with their respective games. Rocky took down Providence at home 61-44, Carroll stormed into the Armory and rolled Northern 59-36, and last but not least, the Bulldogs of UM Western put together a solid 40 minutes in Butte to walk away with a 71-47 win.

The Women’s games this past weekend added some more ‘space’ between the top 3 teams in the conference and the rest of the Frontier.
