NRA Goes After “F” Rated Jon Tester in Montana, Backs Tim Sheehy

The NRA is going after the "F" rated Jon Tester as they back Navy SEAL veteran Tim Sheehy in the critical US Senate race in Montana. Plus, the spouse of a wounded Billings police officer calls out Tester for false claims...and says that she and her husband DO NOT endorse Tester.
The National Rifle Association's Political Victory Fund launched what they're describing as a $2 million ad buy backing Republican Tim Sheehy over Democrat Senator Jon Tester.
Randy Kozuch, Chairman of the NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF), had this to say in a statement sent to Montana Talks host Aaron Flint:
This November gun owners can't afford to sit on the sidelines...though Tester likes to portray himself as a friend of gun owners, his voting record in the Senate makes clear he is not on the side of Montanans who support the 2nd Amendment. Tester has voted for Obama and Biden's anti-gun Supreme Court justices and against pro-freedom justices. He has voted to spend taxpayer dollars to promote state-level red flag laws, which are ripe for abuse, and deny gun owners basic due process protections. And he's voted multiple times to criminalize private firearms transfers while supporting government blacklists. To return a pro-gun majority to the United States Senate, Montanans should hand Jon Tester his walking papers and elect Tim Sheehy in November.
Doug Hamlin, Executive Vice President & CEO of the NRA says the "NRA will be strategically targeting key states to reelect President Trump and stop Kamala Harris from taking her radical gun confiscation agenda to the Oval Office. We will be engaging with our millions of members and gun owners to elect pro-freedom candidates up and down the ballot."

Fox News first covered the story Tuesday morning, adding that a "respected handicapper recently shifted the matchup to 'leans Republican.' Sabato's Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia's Center for Politics explained the change, pointing to a new poll from the AARP showing Sheehy with a six-point 51%-45% advantage over Tester in a two-way race."
Meanwhile, the spouse of a wounded Billings police officer is calling out Tester for false claims his campaign made about a bill to benefit retired officers wounded in the line of duty.
As we told you back in 2022, Montana Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) led the charge to no longer tax the disability payments of wounded police officers who were discharged as a result of their injuries. Tester put out a campaign ad taking credit for the bill, which prompted Heidi Paulson, the law enforcement spouse who fought for the legislation, to say she was disappointed in Tester.
Heidi Paulson: "Senator Daines and his team did all of the work to get this bill introduced and passed. Secondly, using our pictures and personal story in his add makes us look like we endorse Senator Tester as a candidate."
Paulson added that neither she nor her husband endorsed Tester. Her full post is below.
