LEAN Training November 6th at Butte’s Thornton Building
Headwaters RC&D and the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center will be hosting the LEAN 101 Training Workshop Wednesday November 6th at the Thornton Building at 65 E. Broadway in Butte. If you are a business or organization simply in need of a better bottom line, this workshop is for you.
LEAN Principles can help your organization improve and thrive. This 4-hour session will teach you how to apply these principles through hands-on exercises in an engaging, fun and eye-opening way. Organizations will strenghthen their competitive advantage, provide opportunities for higher workforce engagement and retention, accelerate growth and improve profits. Employees will gain new skills valuable to their employer such as cost reduction, on-time delivery improvement, inventory and WIP reduction as well as quality improvement.
This fun session can improve production, shipping and logistics, operation and maintenance and even administrative and office duties. The workshop is geared towards owners, managers, supervisors and contributors and is for both small and large businesses and organizations. All can lean ways to improve their operations. The workshop will feature Brian Sullivan a successful and respected Southwest Montana Business Advisor. Brian has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction and management, and currently serves as the MMEC Business Advisor in Helena and Butte. He offers broad expertise in project management, plant construction and start up, Process Safety Management (PSM), Document Control, and Lean manufacturing. His Lean training includes Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Participants will leave the workshop with the knowledge and ability to implement LEAN principles at their job or organization. The workshop will run from 8am to noon and participants are asked to use the Wyoming Street entrance of the Thornton Building upon arrival.
