Buttes Belmont Senior Center Has A Packed August Lineup
August is here and Butte's Belmont Senior Center at 615 E. Mercury Street is ready to roll into late summer with a variety of activities, classes, food and fun. Here is a look at the weekly activity schedule and some other things happening at the Belmont that you need to know about.
WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
- Bingo is played Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 1pm.
- Enjoy Pinochle on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1pm to 3:45pm. Cost is $1 plus .25 per set.
- Sneakers Exercise Class takes place from 10am to11am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Cost is $1.50 per class
- Fresh cinnamon rolls and coffee for a buck are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am until 10:30am.
- Rides to medical appointments are again available, please call at least 24 hours in advance. Rides for doctor appointments and shopping trips will take place on Monday and Wednesday mornings, depending on availability. The charge is $10 per trip.
BELMONT AUGUST ACTIVITIES
- Hearing Aide Cleaning with Robin will take place on Wednesday, August 12th at 10:30am.
- A beginners Line Dance Class will take place twice monthly. In August, the dates will be Tuesday the 11th and Tuesday the 25th, both dates from 11am until noon.
- August's Birthday Lunch will be on Thursday the 20th at noon
- Changing Seasons Grief Support Group, sponsored by Honeybee Hospice and Axelson's Cremation, will take place on Thursday, August 20th at 1pm.
The Belmont Senior Center will be closed on Friday, August 14th for the An Ri Ra Irish Festival. For questions or further information, please call (406) 723-7773.
