Butte’s Belmont Center alive with September activity
Whether you need to run a few errands, are looking for a friendly game of bingo or just want to sit and chat over a hot cinnamon roll and coffee, September is a great time to stop by Butte's Belmont Senior Center to take in all that is happening.
Let's start with the cinnamon rolls and coffee. They are both hot and fresh and available Tuesdays from 8am to 10:30 for just a buck. Hang around because on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, pinochle is played at 1pm for $1 plus 25 cents per set. If you like games, they play bingo on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1pm.
Keep the blood circulating properly with Sneaker Exercise Class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am for $1.50 per class and remember that wood carvers meet every Thursday at 8:30am. And if crafts are your thing, Craft Circle with Lorisa will be taking place on Tuesday the 12th and again on Tuesday the 26th at 10:30am. The Foot Clinic is available by appointment and is $15 payable to Peggy Dean and blood pressure is checked every Friday morning at 11am.
Does your smartphone, computer or laptop have you screaming in frustration? Do not fear, Tech Tips will be back on September 19 with one-on-one help with your digital devices. And as always, rides to medical appointments are available between 9 and 11am Monday thru Friday. Cost is $5 round trip, $3 one way and shopping excursions are available for $10.
