Free Clothing Store Opens Doors To Students Facing Household Budget Challenges
Bulldog Outfitters is offering a practical resource for K-12 students who need clothing and personal hygiene items during the school year.
The free clothing and personal hygiene store helps students in need access basic items. K-12 students can shop at no cost during regular hours while school is in session.
Bulldog Outfitters is located at the Don Peoples Complex, the former Butte Armory, at 600 Gilman Avenue. Regular shopping hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.
For families who cannot make those hours, appointments are available outside the regular schedule. The program encourages shoppers to use regular hours whenever staff are available, however, and to return during those times if the store happens to be closed.
Students and families needing an appointment can contact BSB County Superintendent of Schools Jim O’Neill at (406) 497-6217 or by email at joneill@bsb.mt.gov.
The goal is straightforward: make sure K-12 students have access to clothing and personal hygiene supplies they need during the school year. By providing the items free of charge, Bulldog Outfitters offers families another local resource when household budgets are stretched.
Students in need can stop by during the Tuesday-through-Thursday afternoon hours, or arrange an appointment if another time is necessary.
Those planning to visit are reminded to shop during regular hours when possible. If staff are unavailable and the store is closed, shoppers should return during regular hours or call to schedule an appointment.
Bulldog Outfitters is a local service helping students feel better prepared for school each day who encourage those in need to stop by or make an appointment.
