On endless occasions, the Anaconda Fire Department has come to the community's rescue. Now it's time to show gratitude for their services by supporting their upcoming and first-ever Firefighters Ball! The event set for Saturday, February 25th, at the Anaconda Elks Lodge (#239) is an effort to support their benevolent fund. There again, an example of the Anaconda Fire Department's selfless spirit, and here's why; the benevolent fund aims to help family members displaced from their homes due to a fire. The fund also helps with emergency air ambulance charges to fire victims and aids in expenses that accrue if a firefighter turns ill or is injured; a fine example of an outstanding crew taking care of their own and the victims of a fire.

As firefighters, the fact remains that these men and women put their lives on the line every day for our safety. Another known fact is that these first responders are an exceptionally cool and fun bunch! So, more reason to get your tickets to the 1st Annual Firefighter's Ball to support the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Fireman's benevolent fund! Here's a complete breakdown; the event on February 25th gets underway with cocktails at the Anaconda Elks Lodge from 5 to 6 pm, then dinner takes place from 6 to 7 pm with music by Sho Down to follow. Tickets are available at the Anaconda-deer Lodge County Fire Department (420 W Commercial), at the door, or by contacting Billy Jo at (406) 410-0771. Tickets can be purchased individually, or you can buy a table for your crew of supporters!
