The Montana Folk Festival is one of Butte's biggest events of the entire year. People from literally all over the world converge on the Mining City for one of the region's biggest and best music festivals. Are you one of the thousands who will be joining us from out of town? I don't think any of us can imagine a summer without an ice cream cone. I have fond memories of my father sneaking me away from our house on Diamond Street, walking up to the old S&L Ice Cream Parlor and selecting something from their crazy menu that they had descriptively painted on the back wall. Great memories. Although the S&L was hand-dipped and is long gone, if you're craving a cone there are still a few places around where you can get your soft-serve fix.

We've been waiting for summertime, and it finally has seemed to have arrived. There's nothing like a good milkshake in the hot weather and here are a few Butte places where you can't go wrong.
