If you haven't gotten the chance to meet our friend George Blackard. He's a great guy. A Montanan. A Navy veteran. At one point he was the vice commander for the American Legion here in the state. He also joins us frequently on the radio for a "Freedom Friday" segment and will guest host our statewide radio show from time to time.

When I saw his wife Amy post this photo of George from back in the day- I couldn't resist seeing if we could share the photo with our listeners/readers and ask the question: which 90's country singer is George Blackard?

Feel free to drop me an e-mail aaron (at) montanatalks.com and we will have some fun sharing your responses with George on Friday. It can't be all serious news all the time- gotta have some fun too. (By the way, if you or your business is in need of a new phone system or other telecom support- get a hold of George at Connect Telephone & Computer Group)

Who are some of your favorite 90's country singers? When it comes to music, as an 80's and 90's kid, I started off with the rock/metal bands of the 80's like Def Leppard, Skid Row, Poison etc...then, yes, moved into rap and hip hop in the early 90's...and then, like many others, also really started appreciating the 90's country like Alan Jackson, George Strait, Garth Brooks and many others. That in turn helped me gain an appreciation for the old school country artists too.

I was lucky enough to see one of Garth Brooks' shows here at the Metra in Billings before my last military deployment. What an incredible show that was. Then a couple years later I got to see Chris Stapleton, Toby Keith, and more.
