The Suga Show Takes a Blow in Vegas, But He’ll Be Back on Top
Helena, Montana native "Suga" Sean O'Malley climbed his way to the top of one of the tallest mountains in sports- becoming a world champion UFC fighter just over one year ago.
Back in March, he retained his title at UFC 299. Then, at UFC 300 he was the official host of the UFC after party that was headlined by Ludacris.
The Suga Show took a blow Saturday night in Vegas for UFC 306. MontanaSports.com was first to post the news locally that same night: "Sean O’Malley met his match Saturday night and lost his Bantamweight title to challenger Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 at Sphere in Las Vegas."
Now- I'm no UFC or MMA expert...but man, I think it is safe to say that Suga Sean climbed his way to the top of one of the highest mountains in the world. He'll be back on top again soon.
Tom Wylie with MontanaSports.com added this: "Whether he gets a rematch in a title bout or a No. 1 contender fight remains to be seen. But at just 29 years of age, he is entering his prime and will be back soon. He even poked fun at his loss on social media, posting a video wearing a singlet and practicing takedown defense."
By the way, even if you are not into fights or mixed martial arts...you have got to watch some of the videos of UFC 306 in the new Sphere in Vegas. Even on TV the audio/visuals looked incredible. I can only imagine how cool that was in person.
