Startling Map Shows High Chances of Nuclear Attack in Montana

Needless to say, it's a crazy time to be alive. Not too long ago, a Chinese spy balloon was spotted over Montana. Before it was spotted by a resident of Billings, it reportedly floated over some other places in the state, including the Malmstrom Airforce Base outside of Great Falls. It is the home of the 341st Missile Wing of the Air Force Global Strike Command.

Montana is also full of nuclear missile launch sites and has a fairly high chance of being targeted by a nuclear attack. A FEMA map published in 2015 has resurfaced and has been making the rounds on social media sites.

The map above shows places across America and their likelihood of being targeted in a nuclear attack. The purple triangles on the map indicate areas that are most likely to be targeted during a first-strike scenario (with approximately 500 missiles). The black dots represent areas that are likely to be targeted in a full-blown warhead scenario (with about 2,000 missiles).

There are places all over America that could be potential targets, but it looks like Montana would be a primary target due to Malmstrom and all of the nuclear launch sites scattered across the state. Helena, Bozeman, Billings, and Yellowstone National Park are also potential targets in Montana.
