We like our local teams more.

Montana isn't populous enough to house professional sports teams, but we love what we have.

There are a few independent baseball and junior hockey teams, but we love what we have.

Montanans prefer to show dedication to our collegiate sports teams.

You can't go anywhere in Montana without seeing posters, stickers, apparel, or other items showing off locals' fandom for either the Bobcats or the Griz.

If you asked locals their favorite college team, the answer would vary across the state.

The answer becomes tricky when dealing with professional teams.

Being in a region with multiple professional sports teams surrounding the state, it could be anyone's guess.

We might have an answer, and you won't like it.

Montana's Favorite Sports Team

At least my friend Eric will be happy about this answer.

We came across a TikTok showing Every State's Favorite Sports Team, and Montana's was a head-scratcher.

You might think it is the Bobcats, the Griz, or an NFL team.

Those answers would make sense, but according to this TikTok, Montana's favorite sports team is the New York Yankees.

Huh?

The New York Yankees are a popular MLB team, but there's no way they are a favorite among Montanans.

Many of us grew up watching either the Rockies or the Mariners on local channels.

Those teams would be a more likely answer.

Also, an NFL team makes more sense.

Montana has massive fan bases for the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos.

We think this company got the answer dead wrong.

We hope that one day, someone will do their homework and find the correct answer.
