One of Montana’s Best Pizza Spots is Hiding in Townsend

Next time you’re cruising between Bozeman and Helena, do yourself a favor. Pull off the highway, and head straight into Townsend.

I met up with a friend for lunch recently to try a spot neither of us had been to before. It's called Deep Creek Pizza Co. and it's located at 415 Broadway street in Townsend, right off Highway 287. You never know what you’ll discover when driving through a small town in Montana, but this place was an instant win.

The second you walk through the door, you’re hit with that amazing aroma of fresh pizza. Inside, the place has a cool vibe with unique lighting fixtures that set the tone right away.

We started with an order of cheese bread, which was maybe the best I've ever had. However, the real star of the show was their house-made ranch. I literally couldn't get enough of it.

Next, we split a large Pioneer, loaded with chicken, bacon, and onion over alfredo sauce. Even after devouring the pizza and cheese bread, we had to check out the seasonal dessert. It's a cinnamon roll pizza, and it was absolutely delicious.

Living in the Bozeman area, we’ve got some solid pizza spots, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a pizza as much as I did at Deep Creek Pizza Co.
