Based on the suspect description and similarities between the two incidents, detectives quickly determined the robberies were connected.

At approximately 3:08 a.m., another robbery was reported in Belgrade, at the Town Pump located at 206 W. Jefferson Avenue.

Officers from the Bozeman Police Department immediately began investigating, with detectives from the Major Crimes Unit taking over shortly after. Through the investigation, authorities identified a suspect who is now in custody in another jurisdiction on unrelated charges.

Detectives are working closely with the Belgrade Police Department, and all three robberies remain under investigation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in any of the incidents, and authorities say there does not appear to be any ongoing threat to the public.

The identity of the suspect has not been released, and no further information is available at this time.

Multiple agencies assisted in the investigation, including the Montana Department of Corrections Probation and Parole, the Montana State University Police Department, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, the Belgrade Police Department, and the Montana Highway Patrol.
