With the St. Patrick's Day holiday in the rearview, the Butte Elks Lodge is taking no time off and returns this weekend with a full schedule of events.

Friday night, High Ore Road will be taking the stage from 8 until 11pm playing classic rock, a little bit of country and a few blues numbers. High Ore Road consists of Pete Heidt on lead guitar and vocals, C.D. Holter on rhythm guitar and vocals, Tom Billteen on drums and Tom O'Neill on bass and vocals.  Full bar service is available and you will find plenty of room to dance or to just kick back and enjoy the music.

Things pick right up again on Saturday morning with a cornhole tournament starting at 10:30 am with registration from 9 until 10am.  Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams and there will be a taco bar open while supplies last with drawings.  Proceeds from the tournament will go towards building maintenance and upkeep. You can register in advance by shooting an email to heidisaintp@hotmail.com or send a text to

Sunday morning bring your appetite because there is a fundraiser pancake breakfast starting at 9am to benefit the Butte Amateur Hockey Association.  Breakfast will run until 11:30, it's only ten bucks per person and will include pancakes and eggs, bacon, sausage, juice and coffee.  Proceeds will go to the Butte Amateur Hockey Association and this is a great opportunity for those interested in playing competitive, amateur hockey to get with the folks who have been playing in the Mining City for years.
