Are you the type of person who follows the rules to a "T" and can stick to a New Year's resolution with no problem?...Or maybe you're the type to start a resolution but then forget about it a few weeks later?..Or are you the type who refuses to conform to any structure, let alone a pesky resolution? We all have different levels of tolerance and stamina. Most of which is premised on the things we enjoy in life. When it comes to New Year's resolutions, it seems most people are interested in setting goals as long as it doesn't rattle or interfere with their current habits too much. But, of course, the die-hards, as mentioned above, go all out. More power to you! Here's to 2023 with an interesting array of resolutions listed below by state!

As far as New Year's resolutions go, many follow suit along the lines of losing weight or saving money. However, some new ones have been added to the spectrum. Many of those are included in a recent study conducted by the job search website Zippia. Using Google Trends, researchers determined the most popular resolutions per state. The study found weight training to be the most popular resolution in Montana! Indeed, Crossfit and different levels of weight training at the gym and at home have seen an influx over the years! Way to go, Big Sky Country!

Also, from Zippia's study, seeking therapy was the most popular New Year's resolution in twelve states (see chart above). Combined, nearly 20 states were interested in committing to a healthier lifestyle. Hence, in the overall picture, Zippia concluded that people were more about taking care of their mental state this year over anything else. So, whichever you choose, enjoy your journey and take care. Happy New Year!
