As the summer comes to a close, the organizers of this summer's Music on Main series of Thursday evening celebrations in Uptown Butte obviously planned on turning up the heat a little bit as the weather cools down.  This week it is veteran Butte band F.O.G. on the big stage and anyone who has seen them at previous Music on Main events knows that this is definitely their type of crowd.  F.O.G. is Toby Schelin and Dennis Weis on guitars, Mark James on bass and Gary Robinson on drums will all four on vocals.  If you're hungry for good food and great music, this Thursday will have both.

Music on Main again will run from 6 to 9pm on Main Street in Uptown Butte between Park and Broadway.  In addition to the classic rock, country and pop favorites that F.O.G. will be performing, a variety of Butte's best food trucks will be back providing dinner and snacks along with hot and cold beverages.  As always, kids are more than welcome as the first 50 youngsters 12 and under will receive a $5 voucher redeemable with any food vendor.  Weather permitting the foam machine will be back so don't forget to pack a few extra beach towels along with your lawn chairs and picnic blankets.  Just leave your coolers and outside food and drink at home along with your pets, please.  If you need to wet your whistle, please use one of the many Uptown taverns and businesses who are such a big part of Music on Main and remember that complimentary Shirley Temples will be available for the kids.

Next week is the final Music on Main of the summer.
