Butte Tourism Improvement District grant application deadline is this Friday
With the first "official" weekend of summer behind us, all it took was a drive or a stroll through Uptown Butte to see that it was absolutely hopping. Saturday was another fantastic Uptown Farmers Market from George Everett and the crew at Mainstreet Uptown Butte and the weather was just perfect.
A few blocks north, the Original Mineyard was also literally jumping with action as Keegan McCarthy and company put on an incredibly successful and exciting Uptown Hoops 3-on-3 tournament. The excitement, however, was not limited to Uptown as Rick Joseph Jr. and his crew had the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at the gorgeous Silver Bow Events Center in Rocker with a great crowd and the first of their Summer Concert Series with local band High Ore Road.
One thing that these events have in common is that they draw people to the Mining City and many of these people are guests from out of town. Through events such as these and the upcoming Montana Folk Festival, An Ri Ra Festival, the Rhythm and Brews Fest and several other big happenings, Butte has proven itself as a destination city. The Butte Tourism Improvement District wants to not only support these big events that are already happening but to possible assist with funding for events that may be still in the planning stages. Are you part of an event or business that brings people to town and puts guests in hotel rooms? There may be money available for you. They are accepting grant applications right now but the deadline to apply is this Friday, June 28th at 5pm. Find out more here or call (406) 723-3177.
