Montana is one of the most beautiful states in the country, and every year, thousands of visitors flock to the state to experience "The Last Best Place."

I love Montana and am proud to call it home. However, some people can be very inconsiderate when it comes to sharing space with others. During the summer, hiking trails in Montana see a lot of traffic, and it's important to be mindful of those around you that are trying to experience the serenity of Montana's vast wilderness.

I recently read an article on Unofficial Networks about people bringing portable Bluetooth speakers with them while hiking and blasting loud music. I understand that people want to enjoy themselves while hiking, but isn't that what headphones are for?

Personally, I've never had to deal with someone playing music on a Bluetooth speaker while hiking, but I can definitely understand how it would be frustrating if you are trying to get away from it all and enjoy some quiet time in the mountains.

I had a conversation with a few coworkers, and they don't think it's that big of an issue. One person brought up the fact that loud music would help keep wildlife away and keep hikers safe from grizzly bears. Another coworker said people should be allowed to enjoy themselves in whatever way that they see fit.

I think that playing music on a Bluetooth speaker is inconsiderate of those around you. Maybe not everyone wants to hear the latest Harry Styles album while they're getting away from their city life.

What do you think? Are portable Bluetooth speakers a nuisance, or am I overreacting?
