If you would like to help out the Spay and Neuter Task Force while also getting a holiday photo of your furry little family member, get to the Butte Plaza Mall on December 7th and 8th between 11am and 4pm for "Santa Paws", one of the Task Force's biggest fundraisers of the year. For $16 you will get two 5 x 7 photos of your pet with Santa. Please bring your pets on a leash or in a carrier.

The Butte Elks Lodge is not wasting any time at all showing off their new digs after the completion of a phase of their remodeling and renovation project, which they proudly unveiled at last weekend's open house. This weekend, get ready to laugh, sing and maybe even dance a little as the Shake Rattle & Roll Dueling Pianos Show comes to town with a 7pm showtime set for this Saturday.

Montana Tech athletics is thrilled to announce fan experience details for the Oredigger football team's NAIA Football Championship Series second-round home game Saturday, November 30.

Although their run through the Frontier Conference Tournament in Havre was shorter than they would have liked, the Montana Tech Orediggers Volleyball Team has advanced to the big bracket and will host a first-round match in the NAIA National Tournament this Saturday.

Tim Montana will make his much-anticipated musical return to the Mining City this Friday night and in true Tim Montana fashion, he is doing his part to give back to his town and his neighbors. Tim has teamed up with the Butte Arts Foundation and Mother Lode Theater along with Town Pump Food Stores of Montana to raise food, funds and awareness for Butte's Emergency Food Bank and Butte Rescue Mission.

Butte has always had a special relationship with the annual Cat/Griz Football Game. Geographically, we're right between the two universities and in addition to sending several players to both teams' rosters, Butte even hosted the big game from 1926 to 1951. The Elks has been in the process of a multi-tiered renovation and remodeling project, and they are inviting you to stop by Saturday at 7pm for their Grand Re-opening. You'll see the improvements that have been made to the main bar and reception area along with the great new stage. Tours of the building will be given and as part of the celebration, you will be able to learn about the many things the Elks do here in our community and ways that you can help out or even join as they look forward to new community initiatives and new members.

It's a good time to be an Oredigger. Both the men's basketball team and football team are ranked in the national top ten and both have a big weekend on tap with the hoops squad hosting a mini-tournament and the football program wrapping up their regular-season with a huge game.

The Butte-Silver Bow Health Department will be hosting two Narcan administration trainings in the Health Department Conference Room on Thursday, November 21st. You could say Saturday's game between Montana Tech is a big one, but that would be a huge understatement. Sure, Tech/Carroll is always a big deal but this year it is a home game, the final regular season game of the year and it has playoff seedings and implications written all over it. Plus, we are having an unseasonably warm fall, and we could even be seeing a little bit of sunshine by kickoff on Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
